Crisis & unity: where next for the left?
Birkbeck University, Malet St, London WC1E 7HX
Saturday 8 June, 1pm-5pm
Capitalism is in crisis. So, unfortunately, is much of the left. Yet this feels like a moment where, if we stop, reflect and learn from where we've been, we have a chance to do better.
The International Socialist Network has organised a public meeting in London to discuss and debate the way forward. It includes sessions on the role of the left in fighting oppression, austerity and resistance, and where the left should go from here.
This is a chance to hear from a wide range of IS Network supporters with plenty of time for discussion. China Mieville will introduce the event and Laurie Penny will be a guest speaker, as well as speakers from Anticapitalist Initiative and Socialist Resistance who will join us for the final session.
Download the poster for more details. Also note that we are holding a national members' meeting, also in London, to discuss and vote on policy for the Network. For more details email us directly.
